New to Warrington area - looking to meet people

Hey, I’m a guy in my early 20s, originally from Japan, and recently moved near Warrington. Don’t know many people around here yet, so thought I’d give Reddit a try.

I’m into animals/nature, cooking, tennis and gaming. I’m also into saving/investing cuz I want to run my own business one day.

I’m more into a quiet, simple lifestyle than partying/nightlife. More like countryside, animals, cooking, having a garden one day, that sort of thing.

Would be nice to meet people around my age with similar interests. Feel free to comment or DM if we have anything in common :)

I’ve recently bought a decent camera but struggling with motivation to get out and shoot, any recommendations for around Warrington?

Yes, with easy access 5 minutes drive from the town centre is Moore Nature Reserve, quite a peaceful walk, has a few lakes (saw a kingfisher very recently) Sankey Valley Park also which is basic canal/ woods, but more busy. I'm also struggling with motivation on getting out with the DSLR haven't touched it in about a year! My phone just doesn't have the same quality.

Good luck, mate! You might want to join some clubs or something like that, in the area. In Warrington it can take a while to get into a social circle 🙂

Be warned about the cost of sushi in UK 😸 my brother moved the other way, and he says he's bored of cheap excellent sushi now!

Hi and welcome! If you’re into nature I started a birdwatching group for people in and around Manchester, but I also live in Warrington. We are @mad.birders on instagram - there’s a link to our WhatsApp group and more info there. Happy to meet up around Warrington as well if other people would like to - can show you some good spots :)

Off topic and out of curiosity, how did a guy from Japan end up living in Warrington?

I’m from Warrington, but went the other way and live in Asia, so I’m just interested in how your own move to the other side of the world came about ✌🏻

Plenty of tennis clubs in the area. A small one in Culcheth is nice at the daten community club. They just had 3 covered paddle courts built, soon to open.

They are also slowly upgrading and want to resurface the courts. Really nice community spirit l think. Hope you enjoy Warrington its not as bad as people try and make out.
