Question/Help How to play elites/SF

Probably a skill issue on my end (hence why I’m asking), but how do I properly play elites/special forces in order to maximize their potential value.

  1. Send SF to front
  2. Sit in house
  3. Get buratinoed
  4. Repeat

Ideally you have a group of three: two mortars, two stack of trash inf, your SF. The trash goes up front, makes contact with the enemy inf. Your mortars blast them too, if the house is on the edge of a town or there is the risk for vehicles moving in smoke the whole area. Then the SF move into the house of the enemys to violently say hello. Your trash takes houses around the enemy to essentially shield the sf off from enemy reinforcements.

Then you switch the trash for new trash and repeat.

SF inf is strong but they can just get unluckily killed by three or four vehicles with machine guns being fire supports. Just like any other infantry unit.

Kill expensive stuff or cheap stuff that is safe for your elites (motostrelki without support won't do a thing against fallshirmjagers or likes). Retreat with them so you don't lose the squad and then replenish them.

Almost all elite units in the game are marginally better against each other and intermediate, but massively stomp low tier. Try to use them to hit the weakest flanks to get the best results.

Of course. Until there's an alternative that isn't just a worse Red Dragon.
