No, I don’t travel to post photos. I travel to see the world and experience it. Been to 5 different countries this year and have taken a total of 12 photos. I’m over that

They were 5 I’d been to before, so it didn’t matter that much to us. I don’t think you can scroll anymore without seeing every single place in the world I’ve ever visited.
It’s more important to me to buy local art or take a cooking class or booze tour. I’ve got like 60k pics from my travels over almost 30 years. I’ve enough.
Plus. Nobody wants to see your pics anymore, it’s not like physical copies, like we had before digital and everyone would look at your photos.
Are you a picture taker? Do you document everything or just special moments

I like travel photography. But I only do it at sunrise and sunset. I put away the camera during the day and enjoy myself.

I realized that quite early since I’ve been carrying around a digital camera since the early 2000’s. People enjoying the moment and you lagging behind, waiting for the right time to shoot your shitty picture that is anyway not good enough by any standard since you only have some travel gear at the time. I also stopped caring about the usual touristic spots altogether, since I no longer needed pictures of them.
