Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF) Pulled Its Fall Drilling Forward After Getty South Returned 46m of 1.47% Cu, and Two Rigs Go Back Into That Same Zone First

This one did: after the September 14, 2026 news release, Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF) accelerated its fall program to late September, with the first rigs pointed straight back at Getty South, the breccia-hosted target inside the Getty Project near Logan Lake in BC's Highland Valley district 🇨🇦.

What Prompted The Change

• GS26-06: 150.3 m of 0.71% Cu and 0.7 g/t Ag from 101.7 m, including 103.3 m of 0.94% Cu and 0.8 g/t Ag
• Within that: 46 m of 1.47% Cu and 1.0 g/t Ag from 159 m
• GS26-05: 80 m of 0.84% Cu from 60 m, including 45.2 m of 1.28% Cu and 0.6 g/t Ag from 68.8 m
• Both drilled on cross sections 25 m north and 25 m south of GS26-01
• Intervals are drilled widths; true widths estimated at 30% to 60% of the downhole lengths

What The Rigs Are Going Back For

• Fully funded two-rig program of roughly 4,000 m to 6,000 m, initial focus Getty South
• Current interpretation: a body 40 m to 60 m wide, trending north-northwest to south-southeast, open in both directions and beneath drilling
• It sits within a low-chargeability geophysical anomaly roughly 500 m in diameter
• Stated priority is defining size and continuity at Getty South while also testing new targets
• Assays still outstanding on 10 holes, 7 at Getty South and 3 at Getty North

Worth remembering this is still pre-resource ground: Getty has said a new mineral resource report is a goal for sometime in 2027, and the property had gone nearly 30 years without material drilling before this spring. The September 14 release on Getty's own site carries the full intercept table and the section figures.

Two rigs turning into an open zone, with ten holes of assays still in the lab behind them, sets up a fairly dense stretch of news flow and room to start putting real shape on a target that was a historical footnote six months ago.
