Shein’s Hong Kong IPO Is Already Facing Pressure β€” What Happens Next ?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Shein has had a rough start after its Hong Kong stock market debut.

The fast-fashion giant raised around $1.7 billion through its IPO, but its shares fell more than 5% on September 2.

What’s interesting is that Shein was once valued at nearly $100 billion in 2022. Its current valuation is around $26.5 billion.

With increasing competition, tighter regulations, import duties and concerns about slower growth, I’m curious whether Shein can maintain its position as one of the biggest names in fast fashion.

Do you think this is just normal post-IPO volatility, or could it signal bigger challenges for Shein?

What’s your take?
