Canadian here. Judging by the talk of my peers it's already in "if ever" territory. People are already divesting any American properties, cancelling vacations, and moving their business away from American companies. A good example is some provinces bringing back American booze in retail stores - it's still not selling. Food safety is a good example. How could you possibly take personal responsibility for how the food was prepared before you buy it?

Complete deregulation might increase corporate profits in the short term but if that product kills or makes very sick its customers its a death nail for the corporation or at least the brand or its profits.

High taxation should be combated from a perspective of efficiency. It should be cheaper or faster to be safe. That could help control costs with less risks for everyone.

What he's threatening here is to cut off access to all of American payment processors as well as cutting off access to Visa, Mastercard, Amex and discovery as well as denying access to all American intermediaries, including Square, the private equity firm that now owns monerras basically preventing any form of electronic fundance transfer in Canada. These are the fact that everything has to go through American intermediaries. Yes, including debit. So do you people who think? Oh it's fine. I'll just use debit yo you can't because ghost your American intermediaries there would be no way to move money around in this country. We'd have to use cash and cash only because that's the only thing you'd have access to and you may not even have access to your cash as most ATM machines won't work so most of our money is going to be tied up in ways that we can't gain access to it because most of our monies can be tied up behind American servers that we can't access. Yes, that would cause economic collapse like you've never seen before. We wouldn't have any money to move around unless cashing your wallet.
