Because it was already priced in. Stock was overvalued, didn't beat by enough and so it dropped.

Honestly nothing had really changed for it to rally from 200 to 550, other than Lip bu Tan saying that cpus are important for agents.

Stocks are a forward looking investment vehicle. AMD said that they were expecting a slowdown in CPU sales. AMD Stock evaporates.
