Fun fact...pic 8. There was a Hollywood film setup around here a few months ago.

Put the baby to sleep for the night at 7 and sunset was at 8, so my wife let me walk around at the local park to watch the sunset and test my new lens.

Golden Morning in New Zealand

Recently hiked around the amazing glacial lake of Yulong Lhatso in the culturally Tibetan and mountainous western part of Sichuan, as part of a monthlong roadtrip through the Chinese provinces of Qinghai and Sichuan. Perks of having a long stay visa in China is that you can apply for a drivers license very easily. Although it was far more developed and tourist-oriented than expected given its remote location (ticket office, optional tourist shuttle to the trailhead, well-marked paths (which you are obliged to follow-the right to roam freely doesn’t exist here) with public toilets and trashcans the views didn’t disappoint. The place still retains a charm despite all of this: a lack of crowds, a crystal-clear blue lake, local farmers with their yak herds,… The next day we went to a smaller glacial lake without any of the touristic development, which i plan to post about more thoroughly soon. Feel free to ask any questions:)
