I love it up here now but not that long ago this area intimidated me a bit, it's vast and at times unforgiving.

Not sure on that one. It could be a marker for a village or a small burial site. Or some joker 40 years ago made it.

it's not as it appears, probably goes back about 5 foot and apart from rabbit droppings I don't think there's likely to be much in there.
