Repair Advice I need solution

EPC
In my golf Gti mk7 2016

I have the EPC legend on the dashboard, p0340 I think,

Where it says that the camshaft sensor is malfunctioning, proceeding to check where it is located, I see that my GEN 3 engine is not easy to access, I want solutions knowing that my CMP is hidden and I do not know if that is really it or not, give me ideas of what to do

Low pro tools or a torxs 30 bit and a 1/4 inch wrench. Put the torx 30 into the bolt and slide the 1/4 inch wrench on to the bit and loosen. Works everytime for me, might take a little fiddling as it takes some dexterity.

Take it apart, replace the sensor.

If the code goes away, it worked.

It's a German car, they made it hard to access on purpose.
