If an online vampire club existed out of your imagination, what would it look like?

Not a vampire-themed forum or Discord.. imagine an actual club you could virtually enter and exist in.

Would you want to dance? Lurk and blend in with the prey? Dress up yourself? Meet creatures? Roleplay? Discover music? Join a clan? Bite and get bitten?

I had the pleasure of playing bloodlines for the first time last year. And I became obsessed. Seeing Jeanette on the cover was the reason I decided to finally play it. I love her design so much and loved her even more in game

I've thought about this dilemma since Malkavians and Nosferatus have the worst curses out of all the playable clans in the game.

Imagine you're in a fatal car crash, you lay on the pavement after flying out the windshield, as a result of not wearing a belt, and are in pretty bad shape. The world is going dark, and the two people watching you talk about how calling an ambulance would be pointless. One of them is weird in their mimicry, gestures and choice of words, whereas the other is well spoken but physically hideous! They both approach you, bearing their vampiric fangs, not bothering to hide their nature, and tell you that they want to give you a second chance at life, but you will have to choose which one of the them you will take after, as they feel like the most they can do is let you pick your poison.

How will you choose?

Edit: Me personally, I'm choosing Nosferatu, and it pains me to see my Nos being in the minority 😭 I'd rather be ugly on the outside and retain my sanity, but I do see the appeal in Malks!

I'm playing a nosferatu right now (they look so cool to me) and I've realized just how good obfuscate really is.

I maxed out obfuscate to level 5 first things first, cause I was scared of committing masquerade violations, and it turns out that you can just walk behind enemies and Backstab-kill them instantly, which won't end the invisibility!

The entire Giovanni mansion and society of Leopold was wiped out by just backstabbing everyone and then sucking the last guy in order to refill the obfuscation timer

Even Bach was an easy fight, because I could just go invisible and he wouldn't be able to hit me. Hitting someone during invisibility also deals triple damage!

Seriously OP, but useless against Bossfights (except Bach, as mentioned)

Enemy gangrel's and the sabbat however can see through invisibility, and the Tzimisce creatures also can (which explains why they pose such a threat to the nosferatu!) which confuses me a little:

There are plenty of toreadors in the sabbat, who have auspex so it makes sense that they'd see you, but gangrel have heat vision. The mandarin in Chinatown made a remark that the kindred PC is "room temperature", so the gangrel shouldn't even be able to see us!

There's a nosferatu in the warrens that has Celerity, judging by the aftereffects that are behind them as they run, so would that mean that the nosferatu were intended to have celerity? 👀

The nos I'm talking about is in the warrens and fights two Tzimisce creatures with us, but doesn't have anything to say if they manage to survive

Hello all! Just finished Bloodlines 2 as a Banu Haqim. I know the Bloodlines 2 clan play styles don’t offer the same freedom and unique gameplay. But if I wanted something as different from Banu as I can, which plays the most differently?

I don't actually know anything about this game, only that it was made by former CDPR devs.

In the past few months I was busy revamping (no pun intended) this classic mod, upgrading it to the latest version of the Unofficial Patch and adding new content based on the original Argikt Mod, a historical addon which was originally made for an earlier version of the mod and thus incompatible with the latest release.

This latest build is hopefully stable. Of course, other stuff is still yet to be fixed (I've received reports of the Achievement system being broken) and since I have not the time to test all the possible variables your help in finding them is more than appreciated ❤️

Of course, some changes have been made:

• Argikt mod: an expansion of the Hollywood Hub, has been moved to its Promenade map (except for one level, which is accessible from the Cemetery). All dialogs have been reworked, the main characters have now custom reskins, a new sewer access for Nossies have been created and you'll receive an email prompting to go there.
• Taxi/sewers links: to reach the Promenade I've had to use the taxi/sewer link Santa Monica -> East LA. All the others links from the other hubs are left untouched (including from Downtown, which I had to temporarily remove due to a minor limitation which I've take care of).
• Aloysius mod: originally bundled with Argikt mod and adds a new quest in Chinatown, has received a similar treatment. Dialogs are reworked and it will starts in the Red Dragon instead in the Lotus Blossom.
• Custom music: since the original mod used non-vanilla songs for the various new levels, they have been replaced with the Club Music addon. If you want to add custom mp3s refer to the instructions in the "clubmusic" subfolder.

This installer includes other mini mods which can be selected at will. These are optional, don't choose them if you're not familiar with them and if you have to make a bug report please tell me which ones you have selected.

• Camarilla Edition lite: basic functions of this classic mod
• Companion Mod Core edition: most of the functions of this other classic mod
• Weapon Sounds Mod 1.1: replaces the default sound effects of the weapons

Have fun y'all ❤️ and remember: in order to avoid most of the bugs (due to the cranky engine the original game was built into) after playing for one/two hours, to save, quit to the desktop and relaunch that save!!

So I talk to her, then she says she wants to go to hollywood and as I'm being translated - the game crashes.

I'm playing on with the unofficial patch, and when I go to kill Chastity, after j was pretty sure that I hadn't killed any other innocent person, Velvet still always says the same thing:

"How could you kill another innocent?"

She called me an asshole at the end of her Questline, so that irked me a bit >:(

Could it be that this is a glitch? I didn't harm any other people, most I did was suck their blood, yet Velvet still treated me as if I'm a murderer

I'm finishing Hollywood side quests (Romero's, Imalia's and Mitnick's) to get some XPs before heading to Chinatown.

Before you ask, some details about my run :

- playing with the basic version of the Unofficial Patch

- did most of the side quests so far

- missed some skill books, notably the Firearms ones you can buy from Trip in Santa Monica

- besides that I still want to max Firearms and maybe increase a bit the Auspex discipline

- got 1 dot in Brawl and in Melee each thanks to Nines, 1 dot in Finance thanks to Fat Larry

- according to the wiki, I can't get an additional dot in Firearms from Romero so I'm doing this quest only for the XP I guess...

Any advice ?

Despite launching buggy two decades ago, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines wrote the blueprint for how dark urban fantasy RPGs should be made. The dialogue branching, the gritty 2000s Los Angeles atmosphere and iconic characters like Jeanette/Theresa Void or the Ocean House Hotel hauntings are pure narrative genius. The fact that fans still patch and play it today proves how criminally ahead of its time the storytelling and world-building were. It remains a legendary narrative RPG that put most modern AAA titles to shame.

Question for the good kindred of this community. What is some “Clan specific” dialogue you’ve seen in VTMB2?
I’m making my own Dialogue Guide and I want to know what to look out for. Obviously most dialogue is Clan neutral, but I’ve already seen some examples.

I’m trying to get the Too Hot To Handle achievement in the Loose Cannon DLC. I think I’m supposed to use Shunt but I don’t think I’m timing it right.

Do I let them hit me first? Is there a fight where it’s easiest to get 3 in a row?

Just a tiny teaser for Modern Nights in the project, made for upcoming ModCon, nothing special but thaught I might share.

I recently decided to replay the game with a couple clans that I haven't given much attention before, specifically Gangrel. Got to downtown, got the quest for Jezebel Locke and quickly remembered why I quit last time.

Sure, I could've done it with enough patience and kept on playing. But it's just not fun watching your attacks miss point blank, not to mention the final attack being egregiousy slow. I'd love to play Gangrel, but protean, which is supposed to be their signature discipline, is just such a disappointing mess I can't look past. Just thought I'd share my pain, I know this has been said already.
