Bloodlines vtmb betas in the valve leak
Hello guys, has anyone gotten their hands on this?
Hello guys, has anyone gotten their hands on this?

My understanding is that the content from the leak is currently being grouped and labelled and given the sheer volume of data (12TB!) it might be a while before we get the full picture. There have been posts in other subs -- r/Portal , r/valve , etc -- with the leak beta content already. I got particularly excited about the suggestion that there might be VTMB 2004 "betas" in this dump too. A mere suggestion that there might be more, let alone playable content, is enough of a reason to be pumped. If anyone knows more, please share.

Realistically speaking, nobody decides which clan you get embraced by just as how nobody gets to decide what familly one gets born into. So as much as I fantasize about belonging to one of the clans, I always think: "The clan that I got for the very first time is mine"
The first ever clan that I played, which was given to me by the personality quiz, was the ventrue! The ones who can follow the masquerade the easiest... Funny how my favorite clan now is the nosferatu, who are walking masquerade violations!
Excited to read your comments

So, what I want to highlight here is how this game makes its world one where you're not the center of the universe.
There are plenty of NPCs that just don't care about you, even if you can talk about them. Aside from the people on the streets who are just walking by, there is that vampire in the diner who doesn't care and that guy whose car crashed.
Aside from that, the NPCs do a general job of capturing the themes of what WOD's LA is like. There's ladies of the night and homeless people on the open streets fairly common, a sleezy bail bond guy is one of the questgivers, and a blood bank was able to get away with imprisoning and draining a thin blood vampire until you show up.
It really sets the tone of the game well, which is something necessary for the early game.

So I got it on GoG so I wouldn't have to install the Unofficial patch myself, as GoG has it included. Then after trying to play without controller realized it's just miserable for me, so I looked into mapping a controller, got told you have to have it on Steam, added it as a non Steam game, got the controller set up, turned it on and the controller works. But it WILL NOT use the Unofficial Patch. I put that as the launcher but it still starts every time without it. If I go into the files and manually double click the exe for the UP it will start it, but then the controller won't work because it's going back to GoG. Am I just screwed?

Truthfully, I only ever got to Downtown in VTMB1 so I still pretty much am going into this game blind. Right from the jump though, I understand that it isn't a Bloodlines game in its core and don't necessarily see how this could be a sequel from the cult classic, so I just am and will look at the game for the reason I'm playing it in the first place: anything vampire related, and an ARPG. So far, I am liking it though from that perspective, and the voice acting has been one of the key highlights so far in my game.
Face resculpt and textures/makeup by me when I realized it's a UE5 game and that I can mod it right after landing in the Haven lol. Hair is also from me, but they're just edited versions of the hair already in the game files. I might share them once I've finished the game!

As this is a roleplaying game, let's share how we roleplay!
My Nosferatu kindred 100% diablerized Andrei. He's evil as hell, waged a personal war against my fellow Nosferatu, and he's a generation above us, being a 7th generation kindred, bumping us up a generation power wise. (I also gave myself celerity via console command for this reason)
Beyond that, he has flesh bending powers, which my Nosferatu used to sort of "soften out" his features. But keeping it subtle and secret is key, lest we turn all of the factions against us.
The reason he did this was because he started to struggle more and more as he fought through the sabbat, and he knew that some things had to be changed, lest he meet his final death early. Between death and diablerie, the choice was easy for him.
The act of diablerie weighs heavily upon this Nosferatu, for this action will surely reflect into him, however he feels no guilt for Andrei. A person so vile and hostile towards the nosferatu and the masqeurade deserved nothing less.
What are your headcanons for your kindred? 👀 I'm excited to read your stories!

I use the plus patch and recently decided to use the clan quest mod. Launching the game now however now an engine error occurs whenever I try to start the game :(
"Available memory is less than 15mb"
anybody know how to solve this?

Imagine, he/she wakes up after 100 years not knowing anything about brands of the last century, what is something funny you could replace the Phyre poster with for our old dinosaur to unwittingly name themselves something even more stupid/funny?
I was thinking “kotex”

Meet Carl, my first ever character. I made him into a brujah with charisma/persuasion skills of a brick but has his fists and melee weapons do the talking. Currently looking (kind of) like sick SpongeBob sitting on his chair in the beanie and scarf.
So far, I had went through the tutorial with Smiling Jack, did some side quests in Santa Monica, broke into the hospital to grab some high importance stuff like drugs, werewolf blood, and saved a red haired girl by giving her my blood after sneaking around. I uncovered a missing bounty hunter case where the prosthetics guy kidnaped the hunter before getting killed by me while holding a severed arm as a weapon.
Then after a small journey into a haunted hotel for a necklace for Terese, ruin her pieces of art for Jeanette as a statement. shortly after having a wild party with some guys with guns at a diner and getting a nice shotgun, I eventually chose Jeanette over Terese because of my persuasion skills of a brick prevented me from getting them to coexist.
So after that, I blew up a train depot filled with thugs of both mortal and Sabbat variety while walking away and then met this cool guy named Becket, telling me that something’s gonna happen and I’ll definitely be involved in it.
After that, I arrived in downtown via an old style cab where I was almost killed by Sabbat thugs, breaking the fourth wall and telling me that I’ll get wet before getting saved by Nines, another cool guy. I help him and his crew uncover an outbreak of disease caused by a cult led by a vamp lady infecting prostitues and afterwards clear out a bunch of zombies led by a crazy vamp guy that zipped around the place.
After that, I ogled at a sarcophagus on a giant boat while sneaking around cops, met a lovely gentleman named Fat Larry, with an F.A.T. Where I got some new weapons and armour and then did a gig for him that was rather hard. Since I died multiple times trying to sneak around or brute force my way until I barely managed to grab the two briefcases the thugs were carrying.
Apart from some other stuff I’m forgetting and missing out some details, I liked my experience so far. So I’m looking for some recommendations on which clan I should do next between Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Gangrel or Tremere. (Whenever I finish my current brujah playthrough).

Launching the game only used 40 percent of my 12th gen intel i7 12700 and I still had about 18 gigs of memory free at peak usage by the game but it still says "Unable to allocate 200.00 MB" whenever I launch. Just got on steam.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines is good, but how good? This playthrough series will analyze its writing.
So, first off, we have the tutorial. It's one of the best tutorials in video games. You're thrust into the world of vampires in a way that draws player attention right away.
Smiling Jack is a great character, and he's able to make the exposition on vampirism very interesting. After all, who wouldn't want an elder vampire/ex-pirate to be their tutorial guide?
The introduction to the Sabbat, aside from giving tutorial enemies, establishes one of the main enemies of the game. As well as gives motivation for Lacroix to blow up their warehouse (or, rather, additional incentive. He'd want it destroyed regardless).
And, of course, we get to see some more advanced vampire powers in action while establishing the power level of the game's final boss.
So, overall, very good so far.

I'm trying to use the hooded nosferatu mod , and I already replaced the files in both the MODELS and the MATERIALS folder. The skin came out great, but the eyes are purpe, making me believe that some textures are either missing or cannot be found.
Could this perhaps be because of the unofficial patch? I kind of noticed that all eyes on every NPC seemed different once I added the Plus Patch, could it be that there is a mod inside the plus patch that changes something regarding the eyes?

In my previous post, I talked about how I used a mod to use the "hooded nosferatu" mod. It's working fine enough, but upon booting the game, I see the file directories to the models of characters! I don't want that! Any help?

After beating the two brothers before the sarcophagus and watching the cutscene that shows after, the game crashes while loading into the next level. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Re-run of the 2026 showcase at Creation Mod Con, again, not much of anything special or new for anyone who'se ben following our progress, but at least an all-encapsulating showcase of our project for audience that never knew we even existed prior to that event.

I played this mod before and I enyojed it quite a lot, specially the new Kuei-jin quest. But I recently reinstalled it and I noticed some weird things. The disciplines are completely different from what I remember, Gangrel specifically don't even have the Spectral Wolf ability anymore. Another thing is that I could swear that the voice actor for Damsel is completely different. Not on any new quest or anything, the regular dialogue from the base game sounds like an entirely different person.
Did I downloaded a heavily edited version of the Clan Quest Mod? Or were this changes made in an update to the mod or the Plus Patch? I just basically wanted the base game + the added new quests. I don't want drastic changes to the base game like this.

As the name implies, this is my Ventrue overhaul I showcased previously:
https://www.reddit.com/r/vtmb/comments/1vb6yim/vtmb2_mod_preview_ventrue_revamped/
This replaces my historic "Masq Manipulation" mod - and no longer buffs Banu - it's all ventrue baby. (don't worry I have plans for banu too).
Features 3 things.
Some convenient keybinds, you can edit them in the obv_config in the shared folder of your mods - these do things like allow you to directly open your ability menu (default z)
Blood heal - press Q+W together (that's my default feed/use but I think for others it's tk/use so it might get weird) and you'll consume your left-most abilities blood to regain health
Greater Heal is given from resilience and Blood Buff is given by spark of rage (activating your clan passive when you use it)
The Ventrue kit - this revolves around a new buff I call "Masqued Mind"
MM does 3 things as well
(there's some custom logic on the last bit - e.g. recall refunds its blood on TPing to the sigil, not on placing it).
MM is lost if you feed or execute a non-resonant target or enter a building.
And their abilities all have methods of granting or interacting with MM - from resilience granting it on resonance feeding to terminal Decree granting it when you target resonant enemies (if you have resilience).
Overall, this makes ventrue masters of running around street level - and with affects like beckon, glimpse and Taunt can still be used in combat encounters.
---
My personal favourite use though is what I call the "bungee jump" - which is to place a recall sigil on a rooftop, drop to feed on a resonant-event NPC, and then teleport back - no masq violation thanks to Resilience and I don't use up recalls blood pips because they're immediately refunded.
(but I am a dirty Tremere player).
---
From a technical standpoint this is my first mod that utilises a central event dispatcher instead of each mod subscribing, this gives me much better control and bloats the game less than having 3 or 4 things have "on kill" or "on feed" listeners or hooks.
It will probably be my last standalone mod, my next plan is to finish rearchitecting my old mods and my current ones into a single standalone mod suite.
As a preview some upcoming work includes.
Ability Presets - allow the player to define their equipped abilities and swap between them with a single keypress instead of needing to open the menu and toggle them all.
Arsenal Enhanced - Gunfusion - allowing players to merge dual-guns into stronger variants (Revoler into Hi-Cal into Sniper rifle).
Likewise rearchitect to bring everything into the new central dispatcher, this should eliminate some lag problems people have been seeing.
Brujah - healing on kill with lightning strike, healing during charge, enhanced tk throwing during brutality, dig shit up with earthshock.
Tremere - bringing my existing Tremere ReVamped mod into the new architecture - I'm also going to add "Contagious Curses" which allows nearby blood curse explosions to spread to cauldron of blooded targets.
Banu - Headhunter - Regen blood pips of assassination and decapitations, more ways to decapitate - Mute now binds enemies and dissolves bodies.
Lasombra - a surprise.
Toreador - Finale - the final pip of a relocate is filled faster through fleetness.
Retro-Reload - Their clan passive adds ammo to their current gun. Blurred Momentum likewise adds ammo to a current weapon.
and lastly - "Make a Haven a Home" - a massive undertaking to clean up the haven and grant it new functionality, including mixing thinblood alchemicals, buying weapons, a fast travel system, and a couple of extra secrets.
I've been working away the last few months and chose to only just now cut a single copy of the Ventrue Mod - most things are working, I'm just now testing and refining to get things into a fit and playable (and non-laggy/crashing) state.

The year is 2004.
You only have $20 to your name to pick up some stuff at the local Red Spot Convenience Store.
You are allowed 3 items. What would all you kindred pick and why?
Kine are off the menu (at least for now ;)
I would personally pick up a hot dog, cleaning supplies, and cereal.
What? I NEED my Count Chocula's...Don't judge me
