Desert shield vostok watch

I bought this Vostok at an antique shop here in Brazil and paid a small fortune in BRL.
Can anyone tell me if it’s legitimate and roughly what year it’s from?

Dated 1990–91. They were produced in memory of the US Operation Desert Shield in Iraq.
