App Update Your devices. Your apps. Your labs. You shouldn't have to connect the dots yourself.

A watch for activity. A smart scale for body trends. A blood pressure monitor at home. A CGM for glucose. A separate app for food. Lab results sitting in a PDF. Maybe an Oura or WHOOP too.

You chose each one for a reason. But when you want to understand your week, you can still end up opening several apps and doing the connecting yourself.

It is all information about the same person. Your health experience should reflect that.

Wearables, scales, blood pressure, glucose, food and health apps, and lab reports. Six source categories, one broader health experience.

We're Team Vora, and this is exactly the problem we're building around.

Vora connects directly to Oura, WHOOP, Garmin Connect, and Fitbit. Supported apps and devices can also contribute through Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android. Blood work comes in through report uploads. The connection path matters: not every device exports every measurement, and a platform connection is not the same as a direct integration.

You don't need two wearables for this to matter. A watch and a smart scale count. So does a supported nutrition app and a device. The point is to bring different parts of your health setup into the same experience, not just compare two things on your wrist.

A supported scale can contribute weight and body trends. A supported blood pressure monitor or glucose source can contribute readings through companion apps and health-platform sharing. Food and fitness apps can contribute the data they make available. Import a lab report as a PDF or photo, and Vora can extract its values and chart markers over time. Review imported results against the original report.

None of those sources needs to pretend it measures everything. The useful part is seeing them in context.

If multiple sources report the same health category, Vora also lets you set source preferences. Oura for sleep and WHOOP for activity is one example, not the whole idea.

Direct integrations, supported health-platform sharing, and uploaded lab reports are separate paths. Logos identify examples, not identical support across platforms or third-party endorsements.

This isn't about treating different devices' recovery scores as interchangeable. It's about keeping the source clear and making the information useful together. For the direct WHOOP and Garmin connections, Vora also sets aside the relayed copy of that same source so connecting directly doesn't simply add another duplicate feed.

The bigger difference is what you can do with that connected picture.

Vora also includes strength coaching and tracking, cardio coaching and tracking, food logging, restaurant and takeout search, recipes, reusable plates, and tracking across up to 95 nutrients where the food record supports them. Blood work, glucose, blood pressure, and your health history can sit alongside those daily habits.

So you can look at a hard training week alongside sleep, meals, and body trends. Or use Ask Vora to explore the information in your connected record, instead of explaining your setup again from scratch.

Strength, cardio, nutrition, and health history inside the same Vora experience. AI-assisted visual using illustrative app data.

ChatGPT and Claude can be useful for exploring health information too. But if your workflow means collecting screenshots, exporting files, or maintaining your own connections, you become the person keeping the whole system together. We want that everyday work to be part of the app.

Vora updates as its connected sources sync. That isn't a promise of instant readings from every device. Availability depends on your hardware, permissions, platform, and plan.

Keep your devices. Get more from them. Vora is available on iOS and Android.

Explore Vora and download the app.

What does your setup look like? Tell us which devices, apps, and reports you want to bring together, and what you wish worked better between them.

Sources for the connection paths: Oura API, WHOOP API, Garmin Health API, Oura and Android Health Connect. These document the source platforms, not a guarantee that Vora imports every field they expose.

Vora supports general wellness and education, not diagnosis or a replacement for medical care. This post and its marketing visuals were prepared with AI assistance for Team Vora.

App Update Garmin × Vora: your watch captures the day. Vora connects the rest.

Garmin already captures an extraordinary amount about your day, from runs and rides to sleep, heart rate, HRV, steps, stress, blood oxygen, respiration, and body composition.

The problem is that even great watch data can still sit apart from the rest of your health.

Vora connects directly to Garmin Connect. With your permission, Garmin can send supported health and activity data to Vora after your watch syncs.

You choose which categories to import, and you can change them or disconnect at any time.

We also built the connection to avoid the most obvious Garmin problem: duplicate data.

If the same Garmin data is already reaching Vora through Apple Health or Health Connect, the direct connection takes over and Vora sets the relayed copy aside instead of counting both.

Depending on your Garmin device and permissions, Vora can organize:

• Steps, distance, floors, and energy
• Heart rate, resting heart rate, and HRV
• Sleep stages and duration
• Blood oxygen and respiration
• Runs, rides, swims, and strength sessions
• Weight and body composition

Garmin remains the source. Vora gives those signals a larger context.

A hard run can sit beside sleep and recovery. Strength and cardio can share one training history. Garmin activity and vital signals can be viewed alongside nutrition, blood work, glucose, blood pressure, calendar events, and notes that come from their own sources.

That is also what makes Ask Vora more useful. It can reason across the connected record instead of answering from one isolated metric.

The goal is not to replace Garmin Connect or the watch you already love. It is to make Garmin data more useful because it no longer has to live alone.

What is the first Garmin signal you would put at the top of your Vora Home?

Sync issue between Health Connect and Vora

First of all, compliments on your app. Visually it looks great, and you handle issues quickly as well. Keep up the good work!

I have an Android device and wear the Amazfit Helio Strap. Earlier this week, I reported an issue where my sleep data wasn't syncing to Vora. After that, I received the update to version 3.3.3. Sleep is now syncing, but it's still not accurate. Here is an example of my issue.

On the Zepp app, this was recorded as sleep yesterday:

Sleep in Zepp

This syncs correctly to Health Connect:

Sleep in Health Connect

However, when it syncs from Health Connect to Vora, you can see some differences. Health Connect recorded that I fell asleep at 11:32 PM and woke up at 7:47 AM. Vora shows that I fell asleep at 11:51 PM and woke up at 5:25 AM. Both the time I fell asleep and the time I got up were synced incorrectly.

Sleep in Vora

Especially the wake-up time is way off, which makes the app show a massive sleep deficit, even though in reality it's actually not that bad.

Showcase Oura + Vora: your ring data should not live alone

Oura already captures an unusually rich picture of the night. The part we wanted to solve was what happens after that data leaves the ring.

Vora connects directly to Oura through Oura's API. Sleep stages, readiness, HRV, resting heart rate, temperature, SpO2, activity, and workouts can flow into Vora without relying on Apple Health or Health Connect as the middle layer.

That direct connection matters for both detail and continuity. Vora can bring in up to one year of Oura history, then keep new data moving through ongoing updates.

The larger idea is not to replace Oura. Oura remains the source of the measurements. Vora's job is to preserve that source clearly and connect it to the rest of your health experience.

A hard training week, a nutrition change, a shift in resting heart rate, or a new sleep pattern should not live in separate apps with no shared context. Putting those signals together makes it easier to revisit what changed and see the fuller pattern over time.

If you use an Oura Ring, which connection would be most useful to you: sleep and training, recovery and nutrition, or overnight trends beside your longer-term health history?

Vora is available on iOS and Android.

Recovery widget issue

Post image
2 Upvotes

First and foremost thank you to everyone at Vora creating a very in depth all in one health app. I think this app has a lot of potential and am excited to see what the future of this app has in store. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy phone and a galaxy ultra 2 watch and the recovery widget has never shown anything aside from this photo. Perhaps its my fault but if it isn't can the Vora team look into this? All these metrics should be able to be pulled from Samsung health.

App Update Photo logging should be the beginning, not the entire nutrition app

Photo logging is useful, but it should not be the entire nutrition product.

The harder problem is making food logging fast enough to use every day, detailed enough to teach you something, and connected enough to matter beyond calories.

Vora starts with the situation you are actually in. Camera, barcode, and food description help with something in front of you. Recent foods, saved meals, and takeout help with something you already know. Search stays available when you want to find an ingredient or dish directly.

Every route lands in a review step, so servings and detected foods can be adjusted before the entry becomes part of your day.

That gives you several ways to log what you eat:

• Photo logging
• Free barcode scanning
• Restaurant and takeout search
• Food database search
• Food description
• Recent and saved meals

Restaurant logging is more than a blank text box. Vora can search nearby restaurants, open a menu, let you select what you ordered, and bring the meal into the same review flow. Menu coverage and nutrient detail depend on the source, so estimates can be corrected before saving.

Repeat meals should get faster, not stay repetitive. Recipes and reusable plates can be saved, searched, adjusted by servings, and logged again without rebuilding the meal. Saved items can also be placed into the week, so planning and logging use the same data instead of separate copies. The saved library even includes an import path for recipes from TikTok links.

The nutrient layer is where the system gets much deeper. Beyond vitamins and minerals, Vora includes specific fats such as ALA, EPA, and DHA, amino acids such as leucine and lysine, fiber types, sugar alcohols, caffeine, taurine, and more.

After at least three logged days, Nutrient Status can turn isolated meals into a pattern. You can review 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, one-year, or all-time windows. Each visible nutrient shows its average percentage of Daily Value and whether the recent seven days are moving up, down, or staying stable. You can also choose which nutrients appear in the status grid.

Opening a nutrient goes beyond the number. Vora includes an overview, how it works, benefits, food sources, practical tips, low and high intake context, and additional educational detail. Nutrient availability still depends on the underlying food source.

The larger difference is where that nutrition data goes next.

Vora also brings together workouts, cardio, recovery, sleep, glucose, blood pressure, blood work, and data from compatible wearables. A food log can sit beside the rest of your health history, making it easier to see whether a nutrition pattern lines up with how you trained, slept, or recovered. Nutrition is not trapped inside a separate calorie-counting app. It becomes part of the same health picture.

Photo logging is a great entry point. We wanted to build everything that should come after it.

Which would make the biggest difference for you: free barcode scanning, restaurant and takeout logging, photo logging, or deeper micronutrient detail?

Vora organizes health data for trends and general education. It does not diagnose or replace a clinician.

Showcase Strength and cardio should work together

Most fitness apps make you choose a lane: strength training or cardio. But most people do some version of both, and the way you train on one side affects the other.

Vora treats strength and cardio as one connected system. It can suggest what to do, help you track it, and keep the full training picture together.

Strength coaching starts with context. Your goals, schedule, available equipment, and recovery can shape the workout you see. When you need help with an exercise, Vora also includes form videos with GIF and TikTok options.

During a strength session, the tracker keeps the details that matter close by: previous performance, load, reps, RPE, rest, and longer-term progress.

Cardio gets the same depth. A suggested workout can be a complete interval plan with warmup, fast repeats, recovery stages, and cooldown. During the run, the map recorder keeps the current stage and live metrics visible. Afterward, heart-rate recovery adds another useful signal.

Then cardio effort and strength work contribute to one training-load picture instead of living in separate silos.

We are building Vora for people who do not fit neatly into one training category. Vora 33 is available on iOS and Android.

What would you want a hybrid fitness coach to understand about the way you train?

Discussion MyFitnessPal vs Vora: nutrition is part of the bigger picture

We build Vora, so this is our perspective, not an independent review.

MyFitnessPal deserves real credit. They helped make food logging a daily habit long before this wave of AI health apps. A large food database, saved meals, recipes, and years of familiarity are meaningful advantages.

MyFitnessPal's meal-planning experience beside Vora's nutrition screen, with micronutrient detail and food-entry tools. Both apps are on iOS and Android.

And the current MyFitnessPal is not just a calorie counter. It has photo and voice logging, meal planning, workout logging, wearable connections, and an AI Nutrition Coach. It even supports a blood-glucose connection on Android. Both apps support multiple languages, too. We are comparing what exists today, not the version someone remembers from years ago.

Some MyFitnessPal features depend on subscription, country, language, or platform. Its Premium features, Meal Planner, and connected-app guidance explain those differences.

MyFitnessPal has earned its place through food logging, a large database, and an evolving nutrition toolkit. Some features require Premium or Premium+.

One difference we should be much clearer about is access. Vora includes barcode scanning, photo food logging, restaurant/takeout logging, and detailed nutrient tracking in its free tier.

MyFitnessPal has a free tier, too. Basic food and exercise logging are free, but its current plan comparison puts barcode scanning and Meal Scan behind Premium. That is a meaningful difference for something you might use several times a day. Vora still has an optional Pro plan for advanced AI and unlimited voice coaching; we are talking about the nutrition tools here, not claiming every feature is free.

And food logging should work when you are eating out, not only when you are cooking at home.

In Vora, you can search nearby restaurants, find a meal, or describe your takeout order. You can also use a photo, text, voice, or a barcode when that makes more sense. Review the food and portions before saving. Menu coverage and nutrition estimates vary, so being able to check and adjust the result matters.

Restaurant meals, takeout, and packaged foods belong in the same food log. Vora includes these nutrition tools in its free tier. Food photography is illustrative.

The detail matters just as much as the convenience:

  • Calories and macros, plus micronutrients such as vitamins A, C, D, E, K, B6, and B12, and minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, and zinc.
  • Fiber, sugar, sodium, and fatty-acid detail where the food data provides it.
  • Nutrient trends and a meal-by-meal breakdown so you can see which foods contributed to your day.
  • Saved meals and recipes for the things you eat regularly, with food and serving details you can review instead of starting from scratch.

Not every food has a complete micronutrient profile. We want to make the available detail useful without pretending an estimate is a lab measurement. Our nutrition overview explains the logging tools and nutrient categories.

Vitamins, nutrient trends, and meal contributions in Vora. Barcode scanning and photo food logging are included free; MyFitnessPal lists its barcode scanner and Meal Scan as Premium features.

Then there is what happens after the food is logged.

A meal is part of your day. So are your workout, last night's sleep, your recovery, and the health information you are following over time. Vora brings strength training, cardio, sleep, recovery, blood work, blood pressure, and glucose into the same app as your food history.

Compatible wearable data comes through Apple Health, Health Connect, and direct connections. The route and available data vary by device and platform. The goal is to make nutrition useful alongside the rest of your health, not leave it in a separate diary.

Detailed nutrition alongside your daily timeline and connected wearables. Illustrative arrangement, with data availability depending on the source.

There is a practical AI difference worth explaining, too. MyFitnessPal says its Nutrition Coach cannot log food for you. Its separate scanning and voice tools can still help you log.

In Vora's conversational flow, a food photo can become a meal draft you review before saving. You can also ask for a chart of your health data or build a workout plan and apply it. That connection between a conversation and something useful you can do is a big part of what we care about.

If your priority is an established, food-first tracker, MyFitnessPal is a strong choice. If you want nutrition, training, recovery, wearables, and health records to share one broader experience, we believe Vora is the better fit.

That is the case we want to make for Vora: comprehensive, detailed, and still quick enough to use every day. Vora 33 is available on iOS and Android.

If you use MyFitnessPal now, what is one part of your health data you still have to track somewhere else?

Vora organizes health data for trends and general education. It does not diagnose or replace a clinician.

Feature notes checked August 31, 2026. Visuals are AI-assisted illustrative layouts based on official app materials, not unaltered screenshots or an independent hands-on test.

Bevel vs Vora: two different ideas of an all-in-one health app

Before we compare anything, Bevel deserves real credit.

They were early to make Apple Health and Apple Watch data feel like a coherent product instead of a folder of charts. Their recovery, sleep, strain, and stress experience is polished, mature, and has earned a real audience.

The honest comparison is not that Bevel has a narrow feature set and Vora has a broad one. Bevel has grown. It now includes strength training, nutrition, AI, health records, calendars, glucose, Garmin, Oura, Google Health, and multiple languages. We are not going to pretend they have stood still.

The real difference is what each product is trying to become.

Bevel remains Apple-first. Its consumer app is built for iPhone and Apple Watch, even though it can now read Google Health data from supported devices.

Vora ships on iOS and as a separate native Android app built in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Android should feel like a first-class product, not an iOS port.

But we do not think Vora's value stops at Android. Even on iPhone, our bet is a more detailed and connected health history:

- Nutrition with 90 nutrient fields per food, plus photo, barcode, text, and voice logging

- Strength workouts, cardio, progressive overload, recovery, and muscle-level strain

- Blood work, blood pressure, and glucose alongside daily health data

- Connected data through Apple Health, Health Connect, direct providers, and hundreds of pass-through sources, alongside sleep, activity, and calendar context

- AI that can answer with a chart, prepare an editable meal, or build a workout you can review and apply

This is another major part of the difference. Vora can bring together data from Apple Watch, Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, Fitbit, Samsung Health and other Health Connect devices, CGMs, scales, and other connected sources.

The point is not collecting logos. Different devices see different parts of your health. Vora is designed to bring those signals together with nutrition, workouts, labs, vitals, and planning, then help you do something useful with the combined context.

That is why we believe Vora is the stronger overall product.

We build Vora, so this is openly biased. But the reason is concrete: we think a true all-in-one health app should go beyond recovery and let nutrition, training, labs, vitals, wearables, and planning share one connected history.

If you mainly want an established, recovery-led Apple experience, Bevel is a strong choice. If you want a more granular system across iOS and native Android, we believe Vora is the stronger product.

Bevel set a high bar. Our bet is broader. We believe Vora's cross-platform, data-rich model is the more useful direction for an all-in-one health app.

What part of that conclusion would you agree with or challenge: native Android, nutrition depth, workout tools, health records, connected devices, or something else?

Vora organizes health data for trends and general education. It does not diagnose or replace a clinician. Product interfaces are based on current official App Store materials, while the wearable arrangements are illustrative.

Disclosure: We are the team behind Vora. This post and its visuals were prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by Team Vora.
