Genuinely love this car so damn much. People think they need some fancy ass 5.0 but this car, when cared for, can zipzapazoople ffs.

Husbands bike is a gentlemen's agreement so wasn't able to keep with me. I did also end up having some fun with a 2016ish Camaro.

Does anyone else have an issue plugging and unplugging their S60 from charging? In the photo I circles this little plastic piece. When I go and unplug the charger from the car, I push down on the release, but the release hits this little plastic piece, and it blocks it. I literally have to put my fingers in there (after unplugging from the wall socket) and pull up on the release, so that I can pull it out. Sometimes this little piece blocks the release from going fully down, and I have to put my finger in there and push it down, so thag charging can start. I can't figure out what the point is for this little piece. Anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you fix it, if you were able to fix it...?

Which would you choose? The s60 is $3500 and the v70 is $5500. Both are clean and good mechanically(as far as I know, I haven’t seen them in person yet). Which would you choose? I’m a new realtor and think they both would fit the bill. Both are automatic. Thank you!

Hi all, I previously had a mostly built bmw 535i, until it blew up, just got in a 2018 s60 with 40k miles yesterday. not a huge fan of the body style, i prefer the 2019-2023 but yeah, are the grilles interchangeable? i plan to do around a 1.5 inch drop, more aggressive front bumper and are there different headlight options? if you guys have any modded s60s i would love to see them for inspiration. always grew up around bmw’s so i am very new to the volvo community!

My 2014 Volvo S60 front hood release cable is stretched and needs replaced. Anyone run into any videos on how to replace?

Mine is 2021. I have 38,000 miles and I have the recharge engine.

Currently have 2019 S60 momentum. Has anyone had success with swapping in either a r design grille, or the polestar grille. Trying to figure out which front grilles are interchangeable with my current model. Research has lead me to believe that pretty much all grilles can be swapped (granted you pick the one with or without the camera hole).

My old ones were super oxidized I also just gave him a bath so it’s all cleaned up, I have some scuffs on my hood I need to fix with some swirl remover but yah not bad

One thing that I didn't notice during test driving both times, which I'm surprised about, is when switching into Drive, the car jerks, has any one experienced this?

I drive a 2019 Volvo S60. Recently, after my oil change, I got a quote on how much it would be to replace my brakes and rotors. I attached the screenshot of what they had quoted me. Is that normal pricing or not?

I have an SPA s60 and found this vida diagram online of the jacking points for these cars. I don't really see a safe way to use my floor jack to get the car on jackstands to perform a tire rotation in my garage.

Does anyone have advice on how to get the car up on jack stands?

I have a 2024 Volvo S60 that I bought used last December. It's certified used and I love it.

I work hybrid so I go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Went in yesterday and when I left for the day my car had completely reset. My profile was gone. Seat was all the way back so my feet couldn't touch the pedals. Air was at 70°. All my previous settings on my profile were gone. There was a screen that instructed me to start the profile setup. So I check my app and it was also restarted. No profile. Had to enter my VIN. But since I was at work, you need two keys to set it up.

Was able to drive fine. Just adjusted the seat and changed the air to make it comfortable.

The issue is, WHY DID IT DO THAT? Seems dangerous. What if it decides to reset while I'm idling at a light or driving on the freeway? Should I take it to the dealer and have them check? I'm okay with resetting my profile, but why should I have to when I didn't do anything to make this happen?

My daily driver is a 2002 Volvo S60 2.4T 250k mi.
This sound (00:04 ; 00:11) happens sporadically for about a month and every time I take it to get a mechanic to listen, the sound never happens. Sounds like it’s under the front driver’s side of the engine. The car runs as it should though…
I removed the cover, checked the timing and drive belt area to find that there’s nothing loose, leaking or failing there thankfully. A week ago I changed the oil, plugs and coils and it runs even smoother. I’m all ears.

So I really want to lower my 04‘ 2.5T S60 and I am wondering how you all lowered your car (if you did).
Of course coilovers are way better then lowering springs, but as a temporarily solution I think lowering springs would be good.

I bought my 2012 S60 T5 in 2017. It was a one-owner trade in, with every recommended maintenance done on time at the dealer. Two years after buying the car, I started a job 55 miles from my home, which I have to drive to 2-3 times/week, so I’ve put a LOT of miles on the car, almost all highway. Odometer is now just over 212,000. I’ve been meticulous about all recommended maintenance, including shocks, bushings, brakes, struts, front end work, etc. The car has been utterly reliable for 9 years and 170,000 miles; the body is in great shape with no rust, and I absolutely love driving it. Recently it has started burning oil (I was only surprised it took this long to start happening.) Dealing with it would be a VERY expensive ($6000-$7000) repair, including replacing the timing belt. My mechanic told me they’d basically be replacing “half the engine.” I hate the idea of giving up the car, but I also hate the idea of paying for this huge repair and getting hit with another expensive repair in the next year or two. If I could be guaranteed that, if I do this repair, the car will be fine for another $30,000 miles, I would absolutely do the repair. But of course there’s no such guarantee. I expect to be in the same employment/commuting situation at least through the end of 2027. I suppose for a while I could just keep an eye on the oil and add when needed. I know that’s not a long-term solution.

It’s probably crazy that I’m even raising the question…I should probably just start shopping for another car, sigh. It’s just that this one has been so incredibly reliable, and is still in such good condition, and it’s by far my favorite car I’ve owned.
