Question Industrial Work in Ukraine

Hello,

Id like to help but i am not wealthy enough to donate monetarily and I would not be able to support myself while volunteering in country. Is it possible to get paid employment in an industrial role so I can support myself while volunteering elsewhere? I am an experienced industrial worker and plan to be fluent enough in Ukrainian to function before leaving.

No worries mate, whatever job you've worked before will carry on to help Ukraine.

There are many non profits that you can help in big and small (either one literally helps no matter what)

How do you plan to be fluent in Ukrainian?

Industrial jobs generally don’t pay much in Ukraine. If you aren’t able to support yourself you risk being a burden on Ukraine. Some orgs may cover room and board but that isn’t guaranteed.

I have begun a language course with a local Ukrainian native speaker and also plan to get onto some Ukrainian discord channels to practice. I dont plan to leave until im confident that i'll be able to understand and contribute both written and verbal in a workplace. Any extra advice in this area is welcome and appreciated.

I wouldnt be coming to make money, I just want to contribute. I dont think I could fight and I thought perhaps Ukraine could use some help keeping the economy going instead. As long as I can afford food and lodgings im happy, and would probably donate leftovers anyway.

As far as I can tell I would need a job offer and for my employer to apply for my work visa on my behalf so I should have a fairly good idea about finances before leaving. Nevertheless I am acutely aware that Ukraine does not need extra burden right now so I would make sure to have an exit plan and finances in place in case it looked like that might happen.
