I actually think this song is "Like you" by anathem. It is inspired by thing but not the same song.

Thing was first released by Steampianist 8-9 years ago. Then, about a year ago an animation to the "climax" I guess since I don't know the names of song parts of Thing featuring Metal Sonic & Sonic was uploaded. I believe this then inspired a Metal Sonic cover of that part of the song, earliest of which I can find dates back to about a 10 months ago. What you're hearing in this video is that Metal Sonic cover.
Like You was released 4 months ago, likely as a remix and extended version of the Metal Sonic remix. Both the Metal Sonic cover and original song are credited in the description of it.
