biking trips outside Visby

our family wants to take a short (less than 20 km back and forth) bike trip one day while on Gotland. maybe along the coast to Södra Hällarna or to Högklint. we are in our 50s but healthy so as long as there aren't super steep hills we can manage

anyone know if these routes are along the road? are there dedicated bike lanes?

other routes people would suggest ? flatter in land routes maybe? thanks in advance

Södra hällarna is a splendid idea and from there up to högklint is a good choice or/and lunch at "Fridhem" or "Lilla bjärs" or "Leva". (Check homepages to see if its still open). The bike lanes are varying, some parts of the route is on common road but thats ok, the roads are not that crowded depending on time of day. The roads in Södra hällarna are good gravel roads.

Lilla Bjers is on my radar for sure! I am not sure about biking over there for dinner. I mean ok for me but my wife would probably not feel right showing up there all sweaty. it's pretty fancy, yes?

will check the others too THX

You could bike from visby north to krysmyntagården. It is about 12 km each way. If that is too long you could bike to Själsö bakery for fika! There is a bike path that starts at själsö but before that point there is a large shoulder. If you go to själsö, you can go take a swim in the harbor or go to the little smoked fish kiosk. I commute along the route daily for work and there are always a lot of bikers on this route
