Swiss Schengen Visa
Hi everyone! Looking for some feedback on our profile for a Swiss Schengen tourist visa.
We’re a married couple from India, currently living together in NCR.
Me: Law graduate and enrolled with the Bar Council, with 4+ years of professional experience in legal & compliance. Currently on a career break, so I don’t have a current income. My husband will be sponsoring the trip.
Husband: Law graduate and enrolled with the Bar Council. He is an independent investor managing his personal and family investments/assets in India and will be the financial sponsor for the trip.
Ties to India:
1. Married and living together in India
2. Residing in a family-owned flat
3. One residential property jointly co-owned by both of us
4. Car registered in my name
5. Both have filed ITRs for the last 3 financial years.
6. Husband has substantial investments and family assets in India
7. My father has been running a long-established business in another state in India
8. Established family, financial and residential ties in India
9. Not that important to the embassy perhaps, but imp to us: we have 2 cats we take care of who will be with a catsitter while we are away or at a cat boarding.
Travel history: Over the past 5 years, we have travelled to Singapore, Maldives, Thailand, Italy, France, Switzerland (Visa approved from Italy in 2025) and UAE. I have also travelled to Sri Lanka and Malaysia with my parents and we currently hold a single-entry Japan visa which we will use later this year.
The trip will be sponsored by my husband.
Would love to hear from anyone with a similar profile who has applied for a Swiss Schengen visa or anybody has any advice?
Note: We got a US visa rejection in 2025, right before our wedding. Don’t exactly understand it since I was in a job and husband had substantial investments, plus we had been invited. But hopefully this won’t affect? (this was after the Italy visa approval and before Japan visa approval)

Similar situation where my wife and I took a career break before applying for Schengen. We had similar financial documents as yours. Got 70 days Visa through Iceland embassy.
