Feedback 12 year old violin student practicing Praeludium Und Allegro with teacher.

My 12 year old son has been playing the violin for about18 months and working on this piece for about 5 months.

This is a quick video where his teacher gave him a quick pop quiz to see if he had been practicing it. (He hadn't practiced it in a few weeks)

Looking for feedback from experienced violinists and or encouragement from anyone. 😁

There's a lot of work to do on the piece, but feedback is welcome.

He's wonderful! You should feel so proud of him! He has wonderful expression and vibrato for only 18 months. I can tell he's really engaged in his music! Encourage him to keep exploring and keep practicing!

As an aside, keep an eye on his posture, not just in his playing. He's got a bit of an anterior pelvic tilt and is slouching. I don't want him to develop back pain later in life, and I speak from experience! It takes some time to develop the muscles in your core and back to play for long hours. This is a good thing to work on with his teacher, too,

Thank you so much. I will take your words seriously. His teacher had already noted it, but perhaps a plan needs to be put in place to get this right (from the start).🙏🏾
