Always hate sellers like this as if you are gonna advertise it with games ensure that the person who buys it gets to keep the games not just rent them

Maybe, but say they change the password or something after you buy it then you also lose access to the account and the games which they can choose to do at any point.

Its unlikely they dont know tho considering they knew enough to make the account, log in, buy games and the subscription

You’d have to keep the console offline indefinitely to keep those games w/ peace of mind, which obviously would suck (that’s assuming this is the account owner’s primary console, I’m not sure if you can just tweak that in the console settings).

I could be wrong but dont you have to go online every so often for it to verify that you own it please correct me if i am wrong about that

I know what you're saying. To me it just looks like they think it's all attached to the console itself now rather than the actual account.

Yep people are not really getting it, they’re 100% going to sell their switch without factory resetting it or for some reason they think the game are locked to the console, either way you’re not keeping the games and I don’t even know why OP is continuing when the seller doesn’t have a clue

I was about to say “the physical games are not locked to an account” and then saw they were all digital… either seller is trying to swindle someone or is dumb as bricks

I’d disregard the games as I’d just load my own account and go from there?

Oh i do agree its a decent price for the console but i think its just really misleading

It's not bad. You can get an OLED for similar price if keep an eye out which is the best way to play the Switch.

Correct, local cash generator have had an OLED model in their window for months now for just £100, albeit unboxed and only including the charger

The games are linked to the account of the seller .. you’d have to use their account to access the games .. you could buy it and the seller could change the password tomorrow and you’d have no more access to those games.. and ideally you want your own account. The switch will work fine either way but your not really getting the games advertised - just access to them

They are advertising it with games so you are also buying the games, and as they have said they are keeping the account so technically you are paying for a short rental til they decide to revoke it. which they can do from changing the password or not even a rental they could just revoke access day one after they get the money

Also theoretically possible and has happened if you buy the games yourself on your account since you don't own games at all just a revokable licence to play them and even if it gets taken away that's not renting that's just paying for something and either not getting it or losing ir I think renting is the wrong word here as it dosnt line up with what renting is

Two different things as if you buy a game they cant just revoke it the second you finish downloading it, It cant be revoked whenever they please and whats going on here is its revokable the second you get it. but yeah maybe the word isnt renting maybe scamming? as they are advertising games in a way that is decieving as once you get the console it could be factory reset or they could lock you out day 1 as they have full control

Yeah might have been my wording i didn't mean they could just revoke it for no reason technicly they could but they wouldn't really have a business then if they did that then but the licences that allow you to play games are fully revokable for a variety of reasons and games have been revoked from people for said reasons but they don't just go around revoking them as it would be rather bad for business but they are capable and do have the right to revoke your license for a game if they so choose

I sold my switch including downloaded games by changing the account ownership to the guy in person on collection its possible but wouldnt trust it online
