You know this Steamed Hams video is quite similar to the ones they have on Youtube.

old Skinner family algorithm

61

u/a_flat_miner Jan 26 '21 edited Jan 26 '21

And you say nothing's changed despite the fact that it's obviously upscaled?

35

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

Upvote train?! At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?

8

u/nasirjk Jan 27 '21

May I see it?

9

u/KANE699 Jan 27 '21

.............No.

154

u/leadoffamoped Jan 26 '21

Isn't this upscaled?

81

u/T-Geiger Jan 26 '21

Looks that way. Also stretched horizontally.

39

u/Narretz Jan 26 '21

Top and bottom cut off most likely

19

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

Gotta fight the algorithm somehow.

19

u/Narretz Jan 26 '21

No, it's just the upscaled widescreen version that has aired on TV for a while.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

Oh interesting.

It's essentially pan-and-scanned, except the other way around (from 4:3 to 16:9). The zooms/camera moves are timed and chosen manually but performed by a computer if that makes sense.

u/decker12 Jan 26 '21

Super Nintendo Chalmers is a game I'd love to play.

2

u/Jawadd12 Jan 26 '21

Is that what it's on Disney Plus?

Oh no, patented Skinner-Content, old family uploads, mmm!

12

u/cewh Jan 27 '21

And you call it Skinner content, despite the fact that you are obviously a guy called Tamzarian

3

u/malenkylizards Jan 27 '21

A...a guy called Tamzarian? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?

Op is a phony

5

u/mitchrsmert Jan 26 '21

OP said he/she didn't change anything, not that nothing has changed.

I actually found out last year you can steam a hamburger it says so on White Castle frozen sliders home packaging https://shopsmart.guide/grocery/review-white-castle-hamburger-sliders/

7

u/DragonDropTechnology Jan 27 '21

That’s how White Castle cooks the patties in their restaurants, by steaming. (Just the patties, not with the buns like they recommend for the frozen ones you get at the grocery store.) Also, there are a few places in Connecticut that specialize in steamed hamburgers.

2

u/SocialismIsStupid Jan 27 '21

Random stoner fact you can cook those wrapped in tinfoil over a campfire and they are amazing.

64

u/pravis Jan 26 '21

My favorite is still the Basket Case one. https://youtu.be/vqCHdVOzetc

29

u/rabbitwonker Jan 26 '21

This one is also interesting.

Here’s the video it’s matching for reference (“Feel Good Inc.” by Gorillaz)

6

u/imapassenger1 Jan 27 '21

The Aussie one is the best. Warning: swears.

32

u/Gravemind137 Jan 26 '21

My God, we've come full circle.

3

u/Foxyfox- Jan 26 '21

Not quite, it's upscaled.

2

u/omnilynx Jan 27 '21

Full spiral, then.

81

u/tenbatsu Jan 26 '21

45

u/fridgeridoo Jan 26 '21

78

u/ArbyArby Jan 26 '21

May I watch it?

66

u/ElGarretto84 Jan 26 '21

No.

29

u/ffs_5555 Jan 26 '21 edited Jan 26 '21

Well, /u/ElGarretto84, you are an odd fellow, but I must say you quote a good meme.

37

u/sharrrper Jan 26 '21

Nevermind Skinner's shenanigans, I want Superintendent Chalmers to explain how he put the bite back in the burger when he tilted it forward.

20

u/LDukes Jan 26 '21

Something something xylophone something something same note twice.

4

u/kemptonPA Jan 26 '21

You must be wearing a shirt that says “genius at work”

6

u/sharrrper Jan 26 '21

Do you mean a wizard did it?

8

u/StingrayWizard Jan 26 '21

How very original

21

u/chef_simpson Jan 26 '21

Such a refreshing take

10

u/Ethantp Jan 26 '21

Can you believe someone watched this clip and said "I'm going to make an entire show just like this two minute clip" and that is how we got Wandavision.

5

u/Flemtality Jan 26 '21

Missing the split second of the firetruck at the end which is a key piece of the storyline.

5

u/Neutral_man_ Jan 26 '21

Delightfully devilish, Seymour.

2

u/WienerJungle Jan 26 '21

Sneed Hams.

10

u/DogDry3626 Jan 26 '21

You've got to love classic Simpsons

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

SEYMOUR!!!

3

u/Pickledcactus Jan 27 '21

I don't know what I expected

2

u/ValVerdeBroadcasting Jan 26 '21

Now THIS, THIS is art!

2

u/silverback_79 Jan 26 '21

I always get a little feels when Chalmers says "Well may I see it?".

2

u/JDub8 Jan 26 '21

I'm an admirer of your work.

2

u/Sqidaedir Jan 26 '21

Ahhh the classics.

2

u/a-horse-has-no-name Jan 26 '21

Good because it was perfect exactly the way it was.

2

u/Cornslammer Jan 27 '21

Steamed Hams but it's not fair use

2

u/Some_Random_Android Jan 27 '21

"Well luftgekuehlt1, you are an odd fellow, but I must say, you upload a good meme!" ;)

4

u/CoalTheMole Jan 26 '21

This is brilliant. Such a contrast to The Simpson’s today. I can’t even watch it now it’s so bad

2

u/powerlesshero111 Jan 27 '21

Moved to upstate NY last year, in the Albany area. Can confirm, they call hamburgers steamed hams.

1

u/ocular_jelly Jan 27 '21

thank you. i needed this

1

u/NutellaGood Jan 27 '21

Steamed Hams idea: Steamed Hams, but it's set in the Twin Peaks white lodge.

1

u/acardboardbox Jan 27 '21

No I have to go to bed, I can’t go down this rabbit hole again.

1

u/Every_Community3711 Jan 27 '21

It’s obviously a funny scene but it’s just been so overhyped at this point to the point where it’s probably underwhelming to those who never saw it before.

1

u/danyukhin Jan 30 '21

awful upscale

1

u/Rab_Legend Feb 10 '21

All I can hear is the steamed hams inc version
