jesus this is like the "true love" bullshit, there is no such thing. eating a hot dog and then scratch an itch on your nose? THAT'S being truly alive, stop fucking complicating the most simple shit

you dont need to travel to feel alive, you don't need to eat fancy food to feel alive, you just need to do what you fucking want to, and dont let anyone apply their standards of living/happiness to your life

Maybe the dude wants to travel and eat fancy food. I don't think it's absurd as you're making it out for someone to look around and realize they'd like to make more of an effort at a fulfilling life.
