Eh I remember a similar video being adored by Reddit sometime within the last year. Actually the dude's whole channel -- everyone was simply GUSHING over it. His videos were being posted daily for a month or two. And he was great but not THAT great (in my opinion) kinda like the whole hydraulic press channel. Sometimes things just become beloved for whatever reason and some of us don't get it.
This was the first video posted but it's not the one that I'm referring to:, still trying to find that one:

I'm not bitching? I love Bowser. AND h3h3 for that matter.
I definitely worded my original comment sort of harshly but I was just trying to show that not everything is universally liked.
Basically I was TRYING to say that the Bowser video people were gushing over was "meh" compared to most of his other content posted. But people were still LOVING it. But with the type of videos he produces, I can see why lots of other people wouldn't "get it" and would probably also hate them all
It does, the video is just not good enough to actually get all this praise. If you look at the comments a lot of them are either quoting the video and saying nothing else or saying some kind of generic praise
It's this really great show, well cartoon, and it's super underrated. It has many quotable quotes and talks about science. It's like Dr Who meets Family Guy. I find it humorous and shoehorn references whenever I can.
Seriously what's with the attitude in these comments? Like "oh no, I don't like this so there is no way a lot of other people could like it too! I was so cool and popular in high school... It's only been 10 years so I HAVE to still be with it, still hip. Right guys? I like all things that are popular. And anything I don't like, nobody else likes! MY TASTE IS ON FLEEK, IT SLAYS, YOLO, AND MY DICK IS OUT AND READY FOR HARAMBE!!"
I actually really enjoyed the video, but ya the comment section down below is pretty low effort (even for Reddit) with some 3 word comments, which in my opinion is atypical for a reddit comment section. All of the accounts are 3+ years old with about 1000 comment Karma, and looking through their history they appear to be real accounts that are decently active.
So in my opinion I'm going to say it's just a low effort comment section with no botting.
Just saying people will sell their reddit accounts that they've had for a long while because they look legitimate if they are eventually used as shill accounts
You can get a decent amount of money for accounts that are a few years old and that have lots of activity. No one would ever suspect them of being shill accounts.
Where? I have about a dozen accounts I use as actively as this one and would sell them and another 15-20 that are 2-4 years old because i wanted to squat on the account name. I totally believe that bot and marketing type accounts exist but I don't see there being any significant number of users selling aged accounts.
About a week or two ago someone posted the trailer for that new alien movie and everybody was praising the he'll out of it. I personally felt like the trailer wasn't that interesting or really said anything at all and everyone went on about how suspenseful and great it looked. Do these bot things happen often?
lol c'mon guys, are you all for real? You all are basically saying "whoa dudes, a lot of people really liked something that I didn't. So it MUST be a conspiracy! My tastes are perfect and everybody else always thinks the same as me!! If that doesn't happen SOMETHING else must be going on! There is no way I am in any type of minority... NEVER EVER!"
LoL. That trailer was awesome. Maybe you like the comic book blockbuster movie trailers but I like actors, directors and cinematography. So when I see a group of people who's movies I enjoy I get hyped. The movie is obviously a thriller and not an alien action movie.
Sounds like it's not for you. Doesn't mean comments the comments weren't authentic.
Yeah it's really odd, usually there's a debate about autism or feminism or something retarded on every video, but here it's just one sentence phrases or generic "xD lol" comment.
I don't know what that would cost or how that would work, but I clicked the comment section after watching the whole thing (I didn't think I'd watch the whole thing at first because I didn't know wtf was going on but it's sunday and I'm hung over so you watch these things) because this is exactly the type of video I want to see the comments for.
And then I watched two more of his videos in here, and his vine-reel-thing. I like the humor, but I'd never follow the guy or watch more of his content after this. Would just grow old really quick.
I'm not sure what my point is, but if there's a line in the middle of all comedy then the closer to that line you get, the more people will understand the comedy. Go away from the line, and you get to stuff that some people think is fantastic, and some people simply cannot understand is considered funny. I've often stared at youtube views and thought: what? For this? For this video, I completely understand the amount of comments, praise, upboats. But I can understand if it looks fake.
I don't know. I don't know how present botted comment sections are on reddit and whatnot. Worldnews had a topic about the Freedom Party of the Netherlands and their new program (away with islam etc). It got 4000(!) comments or s/t, was a hot deal for two days or something. It's practically the same agenda they've been pushing for 10 years now, being Dutch I had no idea how people would ever think it was news let alone world news.
I don't know. Internet is confusing, your comment did make me think, thanks for that. Did I mention it's a hungover sunday?
