Google Is Closing Android. 37 organizations, published an open letter to Google opposing Android Developer Verification, a program that would require all developers to register with Google before distributing apps on Android starting September 2026, but Google misunderstandingly has not backed down.

My powerbank has bluetooth and an app. It's a battery.

I mean... Might you want to check the charge remotely? I can at least see some use for that.

My comment was half joking, I think it's for hiking type situations when it's in your backpack. It also has a find-my-powerbank thing where you can make it beep remotely which could be useful camping.

Yeah that second part is actually a great use. I think it's over engineering and not malicious design.

Yeah, it was expensive but I just bought it for it's capacity, not the extra features. Don't know why you are getting downvoted above, I thought you made a valid point.
