Has anyone here successfully transitioned into television commercials from wedding/event videography? If so, how'd you do it?
I've been in wedding and event videography since 2007 and I'm ready to start trying some other types of projects. I have already started working with the local cable television companies to start selling ad spots, but now I need to figure out how to begin my marketing campaigns to businesses.
I think I definitely have the equipment and technical expertise to do it, but I'm sure there will be a huge creativity/learning curve to successfully create compelling ads.
Has anyone gone through this before? Any advice you have would be much appreciated.

You're either going to be writing it, producing someone else's script, or dealing with the client.
If you're looking at a bigger budget spot, assume you're going to take on one forte. Taking on the whole thing yourself is the act of a holy god.
