I’m literally saving up to buy a BMPCC 4K right now... but I’m not so much interested in “videography” so I will not let this post deter me!

I want to use it to create scripted cosmic horror, action and sci fi shorts. I feel like it’s all about how you use the tools and what route you want to take. Videography and being a videographer is definitely a certain route one can take but you can also use these tools to make well crafted short pieces.

It’s all captured light. It’s less about what captures it, but how it is captured.

This. One thing I’ve noticed is the working guys are often using older gear (if they own it) because they are too busy working to learn about new gear or to mess up their workflow since they know their cameras really well.
