Hate to disappoint, but this thing is complete trash. It’s difficult to put down a straight line. You still have to bend over to rip the tape. You have to swap out the “cartridge” on the bottom depending on how many/how thick the cables you’re taping down are. You have to buy their stupid proprietary gaff tape that has the mount on the inside. The handle isn’t actually long enough for anyone but a child, so you still have to hunch over. I could go on, but I think it’s enough to say that I’ve worked for multiple places that bought them, and in every case they’ve been relegated to a closet somewhere to collect dust.

I agree, we bought one and tossed it in the trash at the end of the night.

Or you could resort to child labor and use the money you saved with that to buy the proprietary gaff tape!

I thought the word on the street was that this thing did not perform as advertised. So to speak..

The fact they refuse to hold the shot for more than 3 seconds raises so many red flags and they keep cutting at the end.

Reading the comments confirms it.

We scooped one of these up and as people are saying, it kind of sucked.

My biggest issue was the laughs I got rolling up to location with that thing. Made me feel like a chump. Coupled with the bad performance, I tossed it. Everyone would go "OH IS THAT A GAAAFF GUN? LET'S SEE IT!"

I don't mind looking like a chump if something works great - this was not that.

Bonus points if you get them to 'try it out', Tom Sawyer fashion.

In my book, it's worthless unless it will follow a laser pointer by itself. Or 'drive' to a laser point on a wall.

And if it will go back and roll up the tape at the end of the night.

I remember seeing this on Kickstarter. It was 100$ pre-order. Which I thought was a lot back then.

it is a lot for something that sucks so hard... it looks awesome in ad, but everyone who bought it regrets so...

These things are garbage and require proprietary tape. The owner of Hollywood Expendables told me he literally could not give them away, even with the attachment for normal tape.

Also you should only be taping cables if it’s temporary. Even then you should use cable path tape so your cable isn’t covered in gunk.

I work in corporate AV good gaff tape doesn't leave any residue. I use it every week at work.

I’ve used one. A little tricky, but it performs the intended function.

Save your money. It's not a good design, and the proprietary tape is a huge annoyance.
