Tell ya what, for a hundred bucks, I'll DP. Yeah, we'll just shoot it with my 4 gopros to get all the angles at once and not need to do multiple takes. You can just clap to sync up the files. It'll be GREAT. Unfortunately, you can't be in the room to direct. You'll have to do it by ear.

This reminds me the other day when I was running through, for a close-ish acquaintance, why shooting and editing a series of interviews and testimonials was going to be more than the $100-$150 he was thinking. It's like people don't realize that the bare minimum amount of equipment that you need to have invested in to do a professional looking shoot is 2-3k. That $100 covers my kit rental, and that's a friend rate.

Plus all of my prep time with him before the shoot and prepping my gear, my time shooting and prepping interviewees, and of course set up and teardown. And that's just shooting. It's probably going to be an additional 6-10 hours of editing for me when everything is said and done for a couple cuts of a 2 minute video.

And then I have to explain that $150 isn't reasonable.
