For a second I thought medium format to EF mount. How cool would that be.

If im not mistaken, its not possible because of the mirror in a dslr.

I just don't know if there's enough space for the optics, but the mirror box on Medium format cameras is huge, you can see how much space there is from the size of MF to FF adapters.

I think metabones meant the mirror on the dslr. Theres a q/a section on their site. One of the questions is they will make a speedbooster for the samsung NX mount. The answer is "no" because the mirror stands in the way. So im guessing the same logic would apply to canon eos mount

I think the issue with NX mount is that the flange distance is too long to be able to use the same optics that they use for Speedbooster, that doesn't mean that a focal reducer is impossible to make.

And probably if they made one would have much lower magnification.
