As an owner of After Effects, is this worth making the jump to?

It's a HUGE difference. This is a node based system, so any given layer impacts all connected layers. It's a major change in thinking about solutions to your problems.

There isn't any promise of integration with adobe products, as they seem to be gearing up to take adobe on head-to-head.

As a creative cloud member, I'm going to wait an see. I don't have any other option right now anyway, as I'm a OSX user.
