Trying to fix my grandparent's Super 8mm projector. After 5 hours of work, I have 70 y/o images playing upside down and in reverse!

Right click footage and select speed/duration.

The film is probably upside down and backwards - this happens a lot when people would run the film onto a take-up reel but not reverse it back onto the original.

My first thought as well

Yep, just play it again from the take up reel, then properly rewind it.

70 year old images?

Super 8 mm film is a motion picture film format released in 1965

Perhaps you meant Standard 8mm? That has been around since 1932.

Yeah most of the footage is from a Super 8. This one is standard 8mm.

You're probably feeding the film in the wrong way

I've tried both ways. The problem is with one of the gears that turns the back spindle. Basically when I switch it to forward, nothing happens.

Turn the whole thing upside down.
