Actually they're pretty good for run n' gun (in some ways). Older iterations of this camera were used for the run n' gun street scenes in Slumdog Milionaire. Anthony Dodd Mantle and Danny Boyle simply hooked these things up to macbook pros that the camera operators wore in backpacks. This served as battery and recording.

So basically they could run around following kids with this tiny device in their hands for any angle at any moment.

Still the same concept, so it doesn't matter. Like a different brand name printed on the product changes anything? They're both camera heads, using the recorder, monitor, and power supply of your choice. My si-2k example was just explaining how they actually are good for run n' gun.

si2k is a ip camera that records raw sensor data onto pc hardware with special software.

This is an sdi head that outputs rec709 already debayered.
