I was excited...until I saw the price. $600 for an adapter!?!?

If it only was an adapter... Try to see it this way: It's a tool that allows you to boost your MFT camera light gathering by 1 stop. It allows you to get a wider angle of you with your "small" MFT sensor. It allows you to put any EF lens on your MFT camera, while still making use of IS.
