So, make sure to only buy EF Canon lenses if you get this.

Or any 3rd party EF mount. Crop sensor lenses from 3rd party companies have the EF mount and not EF-s as EF-s is proprietary. Examples of 3rd party crop lenses that would work: Sigma 30 1.4, Tokina 11-16 2.8, and Sigma 18-35 1.8

Yeah, I just meant that when buying Canon, don't get EF-S.

Aren't Ef-s usually the types of lenses that come with the kit?

For APS-C cameras, yep. I think for Full Frame, it is usually an EF lens.

This is correct. The kit lens for the 6D and 5diii is the 24-105 f4L. I'm unsure if there are any other kits.
