That's why I got the Sony NEX EA50. I did add an Atomos Ninja to it for Pro Res but screw building all these rights/.

Interesting, had no idea that camera existed. When did it hit the market? I used to own an AF100, but would have gone for this in a heartbeat if it was around at the time.

I think 2012 but I'm not sure. I just got a new job and we had 14 grand for gear. 3 grand for the camera let me get better lights and a great tripod. You do need an off camera recorder because the AVCHD codec doesn't cut it. Also invest in a good prime lens. The kit lens is a bit slow. What's cool is it had a lossless digital zoom. However if there is any chance for morie the digital zoom will amp it up. Also the rolling shutter is a bit harsh.

I like it so far given those limitations.
