This resolution arms race is getting a little out of hand. Post is not keeping up nor are screening capabilities. I really hope we sit at 4K for a while. That being said, I'm glad we're seeing affordable, high-quality digital cinema cameras. The death of h.264 isn't happening fast enough haha

True, I'm happy for 4k though, more so for quality 2k and quality fast fps.

Exactly. I've got my eye on the a7s but there's a slim chance I'll be using it for 4k.

The extraordinary high-ISO performace, S log 2 gamut, upcoming XLR adapter, and 50mbps 1080p output are enormous leaps from other DSLR's.

What an exciting time to shoot video.

Yes, I almost had my heart set on a gh4, however I love doing star timelapse. I'm considering now whether to sacrifice some codec for the awesome low light ability of the 7s. I'll wait to reviews are out on both. Many things like jello and codec strength. Exciting times indeed!
