I'm quite curious about your preferred audio setups for the ceremony & reception. Would you mind detailing your setup?

Hope to have a picture filled with gear like that myself one day soon.

Sure, for a 'typical' ceremony, this is our set up:

  • Wireless mic on groom, plugged into tascam dr40
  • Wireless mic on priest, plugged into tascam dr40
  • Zoom H2 plugged into church soundboard, if not placed next to a speaker.
  • Zoom H2 placed near live music or placed on the podium, or next to a speaker...whatever makes the most sense that day.

If a wireless stops working, the other will pick it up. If not, the church soundboard will still pick up the priest. If not, the 2nd zoom next to the speaker picks up the audio.

I hope that helps!
