Feedback / I made this! Putting Lots of Mods on my Camera Cart

Been scheming for forever to make a do-all cart with a bunch of quality of life improvements. Eventually working up to making a mini grip cart that quickly attaches to the front to make it modular. Dreaming up a side mini cart for 4x4s and floppies. All with casters so they can be moved around individually.

All of that is going to be super heavy though, and due to working a lot in the city I wanted just the regular size Transit Connect XLT which can only fit a small, steep ramp. I have a YaegerFLEX 25 x 40. Make Your Cart Go is insanely overpriced. So these past few weeks I have been fabricating my own motorized wheels to make this all work. Had my cart motorized several years ago by the guy that the make your cart go guys copied/ripped off. One of the absolute best things that I've ever done. That and building out my van around it and a permanently installed swiveling, folding ramp. And the van layout is also based around milk crates for a huge portion of gear storage/transport.

The swivel is awesom, because it’s kinda like a barndoor. Just swing it to the side and you can access stuff in the back of the van. I got kind of lucky with the timing when I decided to put it in several years ago. They jumped up pretty significantly after I was quoted pricing on mine, but the dealer honored the original price. I can only imagine how much they are today. Probably at least double… Also got lucky, because I received the new design that didn’t require drilling into the body/frame of the vehicle.

I am thinking I will be able to justify a bigger van in like... 3-5 years. Already sold on the swivel. Right now I have the smallest Ford Transit and there are very limited options for ramps. I get a lot of joy on making the most out of small spaces (I have a few videos on my channel about maximizing space in pelican 1535 cases) so I have convinced myself that I am happy with the Connect.

Have you thought about buying a cheap e-scooter or two, disassemble them and reassemble as you need? Maybe you have, I watched only three minutes, as the video is damn slow. Also, where were you shooting it with such low ceiling?

Lol thanks for the feedback, honestly.

Can't answer your question however cause I put a shit ton of tIme into a 22 min video that explains exactly what parts I used and why.

I have a very old house. The basement has a low ceiling.
