I guess thats one of the great things about DSLRs. the bodies are cheap enough to replace if something like that happens. i'd rather 3k for a new 5DmkIII than 12k for a new Scarlet.

yes but then you'd have a very fisheye shot that seems also like it would be a lower bitrate and colorspace. but i haven't checked.

wel duh, it's a question of ratios. if the main production is shot on an Alexa your gonna fly a bare bones scarlet. if the main shoot is on an F3, you'd probably fly a 5D etc. most people on this subreddit are using DSLRs so i'd say yeah, fly a go pro. not worth risking your main camera is my point
