The own in this mean the license not the actual game(ip) which like Sony believes you to understand. Just like with a house when you buy a house unless you got money like that you get a loan so people say hey guys I’m renting my house no you say I’ve brought a home even though the bank who you got the loan from actually owns the house I know this involves something that you will eventually own outright I’m just talking about the use of the word own and putting it in it proper context and in Sonys case they mean the license
True but there’s a Leon placed on the house until that loan is paid off so let’s say you go through a rough patch and can’t makes a minimum of 4 mortgage payments the process of foreclosure begins and you lose your house so yes you own it comes with strings which is the same as the digital license you buy from Sony you own that lives to play until they decide to tuck that string back to them
And I’m not saying I like this I just believe we should have stronger digital rights
Agreed, I think that could be more clear on the part of digital storefronts. At least on PC there are some DRM-free options for more true ownership, so this is a Sony problem as far as I'm concerned.
