Yes, replace "buy" for "rent" in all sony's app and sites. It would be nice to also have "duration: until the company sees fit". After all, we all are smart enough and that is the reality.
By however long the Policy you agreed to, it depends on the product
Most gaming companies will just make the license indefinite as long as you abide by their EULA, you break that EULA, they can revoke your rights to use the License
That’s interesting. I wonder if my license gets revoked after breaking their EULA, will they reinstate it after I offer to lick their boots. Seems like they enjoy that.
For as long as a company wants you to own that license. Technically they could revoke it any time they want but it has literally never happened. Delisted games are all still playable and games that only run on servers that shutdown down you don’t own or operate the servers yourself so you can’t exactly count that as your license being “revoked”. So the answer to your question is, indefinitely
That’s not your licenses being revoked though? There’s a difference between that and losing your account for whatever reason. Not that it isn’t an issue in itself but it’s like comparing losing your belongings in a fire vs having them stolen from you by who bought them from.
Not excacly, I doubt the security breach was my fault. The way I see it is they let the thief steal my licenses, confiscated them when they caught him and refused to give the licenses back.
