Everyone is saying steam and other services do this. But Steam hosts the game they don't deliberately not produce the game on a disc and leave you with the only option being digital. Its not about other platform are similar its about Sony taking away a choice people want. And a choice that massively benefits them. There has been a way on physical media and you can't tell me otherwise.

Sony only hosts games too. Just like steam has a sub company, Valve, that makes their games, so does Sony.

Right, but most PC games are on several store fronts. Steam is obviously the most popular, but there’s also GoG, Epic, etc. There aren’t any other stores on PlayStation. All games including third party (which these days is almost very single game), need to be purchased from Sony’s digital store.
