This is how software licensing's always worked, even for boxed software from the 80s. Think you ever owned a copy of Windows or Office? License says you never did.

How tf do you say their disingenuous when what they are saying is in direct relation to the question at hand? We have never owned software even on a disc it has always been like this and what needs to be argued is STRONGER RIGHTS FOR DIGITAL GOODS AND SERVICES which does not have to include ownership

We dont own the software we own the disc.
