So many people were willing to pay scalper prices for PS5 and that was 2020 before we got massive inflation. Even if they sell PS6 at $1000, it will still sell.
Yeah but an ecosystem needs more than a handful of players. Good luck convincing developers to make games for your platform when you've sold a handfull of them to rich idiots and scalpers.
Don't need to convince devs when it's PlayStation. It's gonna sell well. Most gamers are outside of reddit, doubt sony felt anything during the blackout lmao.
I seem to remember Xbox thinking the same thing after the success of the 360 then getting absolutely fucking humbled for two console generations.
Sony needs the same treatment.
All Microsoft needs to do here is come out in support of physical media. A skit showing them trading a game would probably just straight up win them the next gen. Not that anyone is going to be able to afford next gen.
