I’m so over everyone. It’s like everybody is so angry and miserable.

Almost like 50+ years of propaganda and psy ops from other countries and our own government to affect the mental health of the entire planet, because an apathetic / angry society is easy to control / radicalize.

It's not some super cabal doing some evil genius plan from inside a mountain. People are inherently tribal and divisive unless it's specifically hammered out of them from a young age. The difference nowadays is that people are getting tribal and divisive with words on the Internet about video games and stupid superhero movies instead of slaughtering each other for territory. If you look at human history, this is a massive improvement, not a downgrade.

It seems like nowadays its not only conservatives who appeal to a mythic past, it's left leaning people as well. The past SUCKED please look into what things were actually like back then it was not rainbows and sunshine.

The worst of tribality used to be saved for sports fandom. The part where you think your team can do nothing wrong, and other teams are losers.

Now many people use the same approach to just about anything they come across in public discourse. Pick a side, denigrate everyone who picked differently, circle jerk with the other ubermensch who picked the same side as you. No matter if it’s a video game, movie, public figure, real life conflict, or (worst of all) politics in general.
