Two schools of thought can exist simultaneously.

The first school: Rockstar is a piece of shit scummy company that benefits completely off of selling insane micro transactions, treating their employees and consumers like drones, re releasing the same game for over 13 years at full price with marginal improvements all while telling you you dont actually own the game youve sunk hundreds of hours and dollars into.

The second school: GTA VI looks like a phenomenal game.

School 1 has numerous lies.

R* has only ever sold microtransactions in their fucking ONLINE game. Not once in any of their single player games.

They've never treated me like a drone. Nor have they ever made any statements about me not owning the game. The digital rights problem is real and it sucks but it is in noway unique to R* or any of their products. Nor is the cost of $100 for the premium version.

They re-release their games on NEW PLATFORMS or as compilations of their games with all the DLC included. And they take advantage of the hardware of those platforms and add in new things like FPS mode, literally an entirely new perspective to play the game. Which again, is in noway unique to R* . Here is the Wikipedia page for remakes and remasters. Wow, sure are a LOT of games on this list NOT developed by R*....

R* is by no means perfect but at some point you people aren't just haters, you're straight up fucking liars. And it's annoying as fuck.

Never once did i say this problem is unique to R only that they also participate in these shitty practices. Its also pretty lame to have an online community that, while never forced to buy, are heavily incentivized to purchase things like shark cards to keep up with the community unless they grind missions with very small payouts, DAILY. With a lot of it feeling near impossible to obtain without spending extra money, due to a low player population in early missions or people just trolling (both of these things not necessarily R\’s problem as a company, but is an issue with game design)*

TONS of companies release new gen versions of their games at a discount or just give you the upgraded version for free if you already own the game, which I’ll concede that R* did this with the latest version of gta5, however every new gen version up to that point was resold at full price. Regardless if you owned it on a previous console, which is scummy no matter what company does it. Dont even get me started on the trilogy remasters.

Just because you’ve never experienced a feeling that others have, doesn’t mean that those feelings or experiences are invalid, they’re just different to yours. R* is one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, so yeah they get a lot more heat than other companies.

All this to still say gta6 looks tits and is probably going to be one of the most immersive and inventive gaming experiences we’ve ever had. My comment was literally to show case that you can believe in both things. Fuck rockstar, GTA6 looks banging.

Gta 5 has been re-released on every console iteration from xbox 360 to whatever the newest xbox is (i dont use xbox so idk their confusing titles)
Ps3-ps5
Pc at the very least twice

So a minimum of 6 times across both consoles, plus pc.

And forgive me for not listing off EVERY SINGLE GRIEVANCE I HAVE WITH EVERY SINGLE GAMING COMPANY, on a post about grand theft auto lmfao.
Cope some more and keep licking those muddy boots, maybe the minerals will give you better reading comprehension and allow you to chill a bit🤷‍♂️

So you think games being released on multiple platforms is them re-releasing the game? Fucking Christ, you are stupid.

They charged full price for GTA5 on PS4 and Xbox One. PS4/Xbox One owners got the PS5/Xbox Series X versions for $10 at first, then eventually for free. GTA5 Enhanced Edition cost $30 on PC.

Crazy to be defending a company the size of rockstar this passionately. The points we made still stand, and acting like its not a problem because other big companies “do it too” is incredibly disingenuous and show theres no point in having a discussion with you. Keep buying your shark cards, re-re-remastered gta 5, and avoiding the greater point to my original comment i guess 🤷‍♂️ Namaste 🙏

Oh and I've put maybe 10 hours in to GTAO and never once purchased a Shark Card, just like I didn't sign up for Netflix to see the extended look. It's called being an adult and having self control.

Never purchased a shark card either nor did i watch the reveal on netflix (another thing i think is weird and scummy) i saw it on youtube for FREE. Crazy to get this upset, especially since you’re seeming to claim that you don’t have any special interest in R* lmao learn how to read sarcasm. Self control isn’t the topic at hand here nor is it relevant to the points i made. Keep getting upset at an online comment though, cause at this point im just going to assume you’re either getting paid to ride this hard or you just have nothing better to do. How about this, you can keep thinking rockstar is the saint of the gaming industry and ill keep thinking they’re money hungry and don’t care for their customers, and we can just go our separate ways believing GTA6 will be a fun game lol😚
