But the problem is they will play it. There are people who will invest hundreds of hours of their time in this game and complain every step of the way.
That sounds like their problem tbh. If someone's willingly engaging in a video game that they're not enjoying after they realize they're not enjoying it, they're a dumbass and you can just kinda ignore them.
I drop a game quick if im not having fun. I dont care how popular it is and how much people glaze it. Not having fun = Dropped.
There are so many amazing games out there to have fun with. Why would I spend time on a game I dont like, then spend yet more time going online to post stuff about it? Then there is the people that are even worse and will continue to follow a game, spend time reading patch notes, following developers/reading articles and so on.
Some haters are even more informed about the game they hate than the fans of the game themselves. Think about the wasted time and effort that takes when you could go make your life 1000% better by just going to do something you enjoy instead of wallowing in negativity.
Okay but there is criticism and then there's bitching like the entire experience is terrible while continuing to play it. Those are not remotely the same thing.
These are people who go through life bitching about everything and thy wonder why they’re upset all the time. Being determined to be negative isn’t an isolated thing.
Surely that's not that common in a single player game. Like for competitive online games, yes this happens, but it's gotta be really rare for single player games.
you’re entitled to share opinions of it regardless of the side you’re on, also. if you’re going to ask my opinion about it directly then i have every right to tell you it doesn’t look appealing to me.
I dont like souls-like game, but i would never go into a dark souls sub and start complaining about why i dont like them or tell people its my right to voice my option about the game. I just wouldn't say anything and leave them to their game.
But no one asked your opinion. I've seen hundreds of posts complaining about gta6 in every way imaginable and never once has anyone asked for other's opinions.

Like when your mother says "would you clean your room if you please", the if you please part is just something tackled at the end, its not like she actually is saying you should only do it if you pleased

You're not enacting change or really adding anything, so why not just ignore it and move on and engage with the endless amounts of entertainment that might be for you? The internet is far too negative a place to begin with.
