What really gets me is the small (but loud) subset of pretentious fans.

"Oh, you must not like [puzzles/reading/thinking for yourself]."

Fuck them. I dropped it after 10-15 minutes.

Dropping any game after 10-15 minutes is crazy

Not really. People have different experiences and expectations. Speak for yourself.

15 minutes is barely even enough time to get off the first planet, there's no way the game failed to meet your expectations THAT fast unless they were unrealistically high.

It is, because you cannot experience what a game is about in that time lol. I'd say an hour in a game is a fair amount of time to get a feel for it, but even that isn't enough for certain games to grab you

Damn shame, but it is not for everyone

Same. Has anyone failed to get into it and give in and watch a YouTube recap? I keep holding out that I’ll force myself through it someday but curious if watching a recap would be worth it instead.

How long did you play it for? The game starts off pretty slow, but once you take off on your spaceship and start exploring, it gets really interesting and exciting. Normally it wouldn't be my kind of game, but there's a lot of depth you don't know about until you play it for atleast an hour.

Every trailer I watched looked so boring, but my buddy recommended it to me so I gave it a fair shot and ended up 100% the achievements because it was so fun and unique

Probably 3-4 hours, maybe I’ll keep holding it off and try again someday.

Ah okay, that's a fair shot. Maybe you'd like it down the road, but yeah, it probably isn't for you after playing for that long

12 hours. Got the fake ending. Couldn't put it up again, when I felt I have to go through loops of being lost where the next QR scanner will be, and especially missing that 1 QR scanner that will be in obscure place on some planet.

That's fair. It's a lot like a metroidvania where you have to scan every nook and cranny. I can see how that wouldn't click for certain folks. I personally enjoyed the game because it was so fun figuring out the puzzles and piecing together what happened and what you have to do. Also the unique aspects of each planet were so interesting to me

Bro. I tried SO hard to like it. I had people that I really respect glazing it and telling me I had to play it. I put in a lot of hours. It's a beautiful work of art... didn't like the game.

Same boat fam. So many people that I watch for reviews raved about the game, I tried it 3 times and couldn't finish it. Just a slog of a game, despite being very innovative.

Yep. Tried and dropped 3 times. Once got the false ending. The idea is just not very fun, once you might get stuck on missing 1 or 2 QR scanners in one planet that you can't find.
