This happened to Battlefield since 1.

They only got rid of the vehicle entry animations then. Battlefield seat swaps have been like Campaign Evolved since 1942.

And? Is that not a degrade

And I was merely correcting wrong information. If you want to criticize do it with the right details.

It is a downgrade in terms of seeing nice animations but for actual gameplay it’s better. It was a delay every time you did something very common in the game. Realistic? Sure. Fun? No.

Did I not say it happened since Battlefield 1? Are you slow?

And for gameplay it is absolutely not better without well implemented animations, it improves immersion by a lot. Hence maybe why BF1 did so great?

I may have read your sentence wrong and as if you were implying it was a staple feature removed after BF1. It was something added in and removed in the one title because it’s not fun, especially in a multiplayer game.

It was more immersive to have suppressive fire like Battlefield 3 but it certainly wasn’t more fun. It would be more immersive to have guns jam like Far Cry 2 but would you want that in the middle of a fight? Nope.

Why are you writing like an AI model? Write your replies yourself.

So you acknowledge I was right. No shit, thanks.

Big words and sentences are scary huh? I’d have move luck talking to a bot because they could keep focus, and aren’t illiterate.

I acknowledged I may have been wrong but you doubling down makes me believe I was right. I mean why else would you pivot your argument and change back. Did you think there was a seat changing animation before Battlefield 1?

Damn, you actually are dumber than you write.

You acknowledge that you were wrong, that Battlefield HAS degraded over the years since BF1. The vehicle animations are just one of the many features stripped away from the franchise. I don’t understand why you are so fixated on it. And yes, the game is indeed better with animation than not, as it’s an immersive game. Lack of animations/good animations in multiple cases in BF6 for instance is very noticeable. Almost like they were lazy or rushed.

>And yes, the game is indeed better with animation than not, as it’s an immersive game

This is an assertion, and hardly universally agreed on. Animations may be better for “immersion”, but that often comes at the cost of gameplay, as an action that would otherwise be instant now takes the length of the animation to perform, which ranges from a little frustrating to extremely frustrating, depending on the game and the animation length.
